Welcome to Aletheia Yoga! Aletheia hosts YogaFaith classes for all levels.

What is YogaFaith?

The ministry of YogaFaith is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul says in Romans 12:1, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” And we offer the Lord this worship in both spirit and in truth with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength.

As a Christian, you will find that YogaFaith is a wonderful way to deepen your experience of worship and allow times of stillness to meditate, listen for the Lord’s voice, or simply worship. We like to think of it as prayer in motion. Non-believers alike can experience God’s presence and love, and experience an environment that welcomes them to experience a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Yoga is not a religion, nor does it belong to any group, or religion. Yoga is not an entity, but a practice in the same manner that Pilates, CrossFit, or Jazzercize is a practice. Yoga in its simple definition means to unite, or yoke. YogaFaith is the yoking together or uniting, of the mind, body and soul with Jesus Christ through meditation on His word, and worshiping the Lord through movement as an expression of praise and thanksgiving towards our Creator. YogaFaith is a practice that glorifies God and benefits us.

Founded by Michelle Thielen, YogaFaith is a ministry focused on teaching Christ centered yoga and training Christian yoga teachers in order to bring the gospel to people through yoga. If you would like more information on becoming a

About

Aletheia Yoga was birthed out of a God-sized desire to bring Christ centered yoga to the local community. Aletheia means truth, and the truth of Jesus Christ sets us free!

Meet Leah

Leah started practicing yoga a few years back at the local rock-climbing gym, and quickly discovered her love for the practice. After years of chronic pain and autoimmune inflammation, yoga has been transformational.

Public speaker and author of Surrendered and Free, Leah holds a Master’s degree in Human Services, and currently teaches local YogaFaith classes in her community. Leah’s heartfelt cry is to inspire people toward a deeper relationship with Christ through surrender.  On any given day, you may find Leah outdoors hiking or rock-climbing with her family if not cuddling up together with their pup at home while enjoying freshly roasted organic lattes and homemade low carb banana bread.
